| Cheryl Pavoni, Executive Director E-mail: pavonic@sah.on.ca Having worked for the Foundation since 1988, in all areas of fundraising, Cheryl is the veteran of the team. As the Executive Director, she is responsible for developing, implementing and managing a comprehensive development program that ensures the Foundation maximizes its fundraising potential. In 2007, Cheryl, along with the Foundation team and an enthusiastic group of volunteers, completed the largest fundraising campaign the city of Sault Ste. Marie & District has ever seen raising over $26.9 million to equip the new Hospital. Cheryl is very proud to have been part of this legacy that will live on for generations to come. |
| Giselle Chiarello, Major Gifts/Planned Giving Officer E-mail: chiarellog@sah.on.ca Giselle has been with the Foundation since 2000 and was responsible for all of the Foundation's fundraising events and direct mail appeals. Giselle's primary role as Major Gifts/Gift Planning Officer is informing potential donors how they can make a charitable donation in tax-effective ways while supporting quality healthcare. These gifts come in various forms including bequests, life insurance policies, property, securities, RRSP's/RRIF's, residual interest, and charitable gift annuities. Before joining us, Giselle was with Telemedia Radio Inc. (EZ Rock & Q104) in Sault Ste. Marie for 13 years. Giselle is proud to be a member of the Kiwanis Club of Lakeshore since May 2008 and enjoys spending family time with her husband Joe and their two boys, Ryan and Tyler. |
| Kimberly Yakasovich-Greet, Database Coordinator E-mail: yakasovichk@sah.on.ca She has been a long time supporter of the Foundation and was a volunteer in our office in the spring of 2004. She accepted a contract position in the fall of 2004 and became a full time member of our team in February 2005. Kimberly has worked locally for many years as an insurance broker. She brings with her over 20 years of office related experience in administration, customer service and data processing. She is a welcome addition to the Foundation. |

Shier, Development Officer E-mail: shierd@sah.on.ca David Shier has worked with the Foundation on various contract positions since 1999, most recently as Campaign Officer for the New Sault Area Hospital. David has moved into the positon of Development Officer as of May 2007. In his new role, he will be responsible for the Foundation's annual fundraising program which include: events, draws, third party events, direct mail, Our Lotto, and research of new funding opportunities to name a few. David is also a member of Lakeshore Kiwanis for the past 29 years and is presently the President of Camp Wakonda Inc. He has also served on the TVO Advisory Council, previously volunteered 21 years on the Board of Directors for the Bon Soo Winter Carnival Inc. |
![]() | Melissa Watson, Administrative Assistant E-mail: watsonm@sah.on.ca Melissa has been with the Foundation since 1998. As Administrative Assistant, Melissa is responsible for maintaining all financial transactions and bank reconciliations, providing administrative support to the Executive Director. New to Melissa's role is to oversee donor recognition for Annual Giving and the New Hospital Campaign through activities including recognition plaques, annual receptions, and newsletters. Melissa served as a member of the Campaign Management team for the New Hospital, by providing administrative support to the Campaign Director, Co-Chairs and Cabinet Members. Additional responsibilities included maintaining the Campaign budget, production of campaign materials and other campaign related work. Melissa enjoys spending time with her husband Craig, and their three children. |

| Stephanie Kwolek, Foundation Student Email: kwoleks@sah.on.ca
Stephanie is a third year student at the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario. She is pursuing a Bachelor of Health Sciences degree, with an Honours Specialization in Health Promotion. She hopes to pursue a career as a healthcare professional. Stephanie's four-month summer contract position with the Foundation has her assisting with data entry and processing of tickets for the ‘5-Car Draw' in addition to other administrative tasks. She has volunteered with the Sault Area Hospital since 2005. Her volunteer work with the ‘Schools Without Borders Committee' in Sault Ste. Marie and ‘Butt Out!' in London has provided her with a great deal of public relations, leadership and advocacy experience. She is thrilled and excited to be part of the Sault Area Hospital Foundation team! |
