Construction Update
Construction of the Sault Area Hospital (SAH) project began in August 2007 and is on time and on budget. The new SAH will open its doors to patients in March 2011.
The new Sault Area Hospital is located in the north end of the city on Great Northern Road at Third Line, adjacent to the F.J. Davey Home.
The new SAH will replace the existing two facilities and consolidate services in a facility that is 20 per cent larger than the two hospitals combined. The new hospital is approved to operate the same 289 bed complement as the existing sites and for the first time will provide a range of radiation therapy services.
