Smoking

SAH has adopted a smoke-free policy, prohibiting smoking anywhere on hospital property. Algoma Public Health will issue tickets to anyone on hospital premises who is in violation of the Tobacco Control Act. If you are leaving your unit to smoke, please advise your nurse.

SAH offers smoking cessation alternatives and support to those patients who wish to stop smoking. Please ask a staff member for more information.
